Shortcodes in Gutenberg editor

Hi,

I'm using the SpicePress PRO template, and i want to load this shortcode in one of the full-width pages:

<!-- wp:shortcode -->
[spicepress_testimonial]
<!-- /wp:shortcode -->

But it will show an error on saving: `
Updating failed`
It seems to place it on the page, but above all the content (even though the block is saved in the editor at the bottom). How can i get it in the proper position on the page?

  • Hi, @dcarlier

    Could you tell me the shortcode you are using is of which plugin? Let me try with that of the same plugin.

    Thanks
  • Hi!

    I’ve tried spicepress client/testimonial. With the new Gutenberg editor. No external plugin otherwise.

    Thanks in advance
  • Hi, @dcarlier

    Thanks for pointing that out!. I marked that and we’re going to fix it in the next release. However temporarily you could overcome this issue by following the below steps:

    1) Install the Code Snippets plugin.
    2) Add New code snippets and paste the code from the https://pastebin.com/raw/JPvwTDkv

    Let me know did it work!

    Thanks
